At Hector's Garage, we don't swap parts to hit a quota. We diagnose with patience, explain with clarity, and fix it right the first time — because you deserve honest work from people who actually care.
From routine maintenance to complex repairs, we handle it all with the same attention to detail and integrity you'd expect from a family-owned shop.
Check engine light on? We'll trace the real problem, not guess. Advanced diagnostics paired with experienced hands mean accurate fixes every time.
Spongy pedal or grinding noise? Brake work is safety work. We inspect, repair, and replace with quality parts so you stop with confidence.
Keep your engine running smooth with scheduled maintenance. We use premium fluids and filters, and we'll flag anything else worth watching.
Slipping gears or delayed shifts? Transmission issues demand expertise. We diagnose thoroughly and recommend only what's actually needed.
Dead battery or flickering lights? Our electrical diagnostics pinpoint issues fast — from parasitic drains to alternator failures.
Need a Texas inspection? We'll get you through it clean. We also prep vehicles for registration and fix the common issues that cause failures.
Hector's Garage started with a simple belief: every driver in San Antonio deserves a mechanic who tells the truth. No unnecessary parts, no inflated invoices, no rushing you out the door.
Located on Enrique M Barrera Parkway, we've spent over a decade earning the trust of families, commuters, and local businesses who know that a good mechanic is hard to find — and worth holding onto.
We've seen the industry's dark side — the upsells, the vague invoices, the "we'll call you back" that never comes. We do things differently.
We explain the problem in plain language, give you a clear estimate, and never start work without your go-ahead. If we find something else while you're in the bay, we call you first.
You'll know exactly what the repair costs before we touch your car. No hidden fees, no "while we're at it" upsells. The price we quote is the price you pay.
This isn't a volume business for us. Every vehicle that rolls into our bay gets the same careful, thorough attention we'd give our own. That's just how we were raised.
We're on Enrique M Barrera Parkway — convenient for anyone in south San Antonio. Walk in, talk to us, and leave with answers. No appointment needed for estimates.
"I've been bringing my trucks here for years. Hector and his team never try to sell me something I don't need. That's rare, and I don't take it for granted."
